Insurance — IRDAI
First contact the insurer’s grievance redressal officer. If unresolved or dissatisfied, check the current IRDAI guidance and Bima Bharosa portal.
Official channels first
For a product complaint, usually start with the insurer, issuer, intermediary or regulated entity concerned. Keep the complaint reference and written response. Use the official escalation route that matches the product and issue.
First contact the insurer’s grievance redressal officer. If unresolved or dissatisfied, check the current IRDAI guidance and Bima Bharosa portal.
Raise the issue with the relevant company/intermediary or market institution first. If the issue is in scope and remains unresolved, review current SCORES instructions.
Contact the mutual fund/AMC or relevant registered intermediary and preserve the service request number, account statements and correspondence. Check current SEBI/AMFI complaint instructions.
Complain to the regulated entity first. RBI’s complaint mechanism applies only when the entity and complaint meet the current scheme conditions.
For eligible insurance disputes, check the current eligibility, time limits and filing requirements before submitting a complaint.
Use the company’s official grievance officer, investor relations or customer service contact listed on its own website and product documents. Avoid unverified third-party numbers and links.
Do not pay anyone who promises a guaranteed refund or settlement. Use official domains and verify the portal before entering personal information.
